The Light of the World Clinic is proud to announce that its CEO, Sandra Lozano Barry, has been elected to a two-year term as a board member for the Broward Regional Health Planning Council (BRHPC). Her term on the Council runs from October 8, 2024 through October 8, 2026.

The BRHPC was established in 1982 to develop and provide health and human service innovations at the national, state, and local level. through planning, direct services, evaluation, and capacity building.

Since joining Light of the World Clinic in 2001, she has been instrumental in its growth, expansion, and ongoing success. Under her leadership, the clinic has seen significant increases in patient services, community partnerships, and overall capacity to meet the needs of the growing uninsured.

Beyond her role at the clinic, she is highly active in her community and serves on multiple boards and committees, contributing to broader efforts to improve public health and wellness.

Before leading the clinic, she owned a consulting firm where she advised medical manufacturing companies and Fortune 500 firms. She also spent part of her career at Baxter International in Illinois. She holds a B.S. in Biology from Loyola University Chicago, where she studied from 1980 to 1984.
