The Light of the World Clinic has announced that it has been awarded a grant from the Florida Association of Free and Charitable Clinics. This 2026-2027 capacity building grant will help the clinic provide staffing and program needs such as medical supplies/equipment, patient labs and other diagnostics, translation services and other program-related needs the clinic may experience over the next 12 months.

The Florida Association of Free and Charitable Clinics is an independent nonprofit organization that serves as the state’s network for free and charitable clinics, helping them provide crucial healthcare to uninsured, low-income Floridians by offering support, advocating for their needs, and securing funding.

“We are so appreciative of the generous support we receive from the FAFCC,” says Clinic President and CEO Sandra Lazano Barry. “Their continued generosity enables Light of the World Clinic to further our mission to provide quality culturally sensitive healthcare to uninsured low-income residents of Broward County.”
